The New Zealand Food Safety College (NZFSC) was established in New Zealand in November 2015 and was officially launched by Hon Jo Goodhew, head of New Zealand Minister of Food Safety.
The College was established to provide a platform for food safety practitioners in New Zealand and other countries to exchange technical and regulatory training on food safety issues.
NZFSC has developed a training program with New Zealand Asure Quality and CCIC, and has provided professional food safety and regulatory training to more than 200 people from New Zealand and overseas.
On January 25, 2016, as an important part of promoting the food safety cooperation between New Zealand and China, the NZFSC and the Food Information Centre jointly organized the first “Trade Cooperation and Food Safety Summit” in Shanghai. NZFSC China Expert Committee was formed during the meeting by a group of prestigious Chinese food safety officials and experts.
